These terms apply when you use Gotta (gottaenglish.com). By using the site you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
What Gotta is
A free educational website that shows how everyday English phrases are pronounced in real speech. You don’t need an account. The site is a personal, non-commercial project and may change, pause or stop at any time.
Videos and music
The clips are official videos hosted on YouTube and played through the YouTube embedded player. We don’t host, download or copy them. All songs, recordings and videos belong to their respective artists, labels and channel owners; showing a short fragment for learning doesn’t mean they endorse Gotta. When you watch a clip, the YouTube Terms of Service also apply.
Copyright concerns
If you own rights in a video or song and want a clip removed, email admin@gottaenglish.com with the page address, the clip and your relationship to the work. We will review it and remove the clip promptly where appropriate.
Our content
The phrase explanations, transcriptions, examples, selection of clips and site design are created by Gotta. You may use them for your own learning and share links to the site. Please don’t republish them in bulk or use them commercially without asking us first.
Acceptable use
- Don’t scrape, crawl or copy the site’s content with automated tools.
- Don’t try to access the admin area or interfere with how the site works.
- Don’t use the site in a way that breaks the law or YouTube’s terms.
No guarantees
We do our best to make explanations and transcriptions accurate, but they are simplified for learners and may contain mistakes. The site is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. Videos may become unavailable if their owners remove them from YouTube.
Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, Gotta is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site or of third-party services such as YouTube.
Links to other sites
The site links to YouTube and other websites. We are not responsible for their content or practices.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without prejudice to any consumer protections you have where you live.
